Leadership Philosophy

Involvement, encouragement, and mutual trust are central and operative to my leadership philosophy. I believe that this is a practical world and that leadership of any degree must be earned, regardless of the environment. My role as an educator is not only to lead my students, but also to help cultivate the ability to lead in those same individuals - allowing growth not from the top down, but throughout the student body.

Recognizing and rewarding success and contribution of students is important to me. These actions develop a sense of accomplishment and further allow students to grow and lead by example. By showing students that their contributions are important and can actively change the world around them, students have the room to grow and innovate - with the ability to foster the same growth from their peers.
